Many of today’s active seniors are seeking communities where they can pursue a lifestyle resembling “permanent vacation”, according to a book put out by the Urban Land Institute referencing active adult communities. According to the book, as a group, today’s seniors are a force that will rock the housing market. Adult communities offer many benefits to the active adult. An observation from the book shows that active adults make a choice to purchase rather than being forced by need. The senior consumer takes their time in deciding and prefers amenities that are in place rather than just promised.
