Safari Property Management VP Feted at Tavern on the Green
Erol Hernandez awarded CPM candidate of the year
Recently, the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) gathered at the Tavern on the Green in Central Park to install their new officers and bestow accolades upon those who went above and beyond for IREM. The 2006 President of the IREM Chapter and 2007 President Elect of the Staten Island Board of Realtors, Dawn Carpenter, was the presenter of the award to Erol Hernandez, VP of American Safari Property Management. The Institute of Real Estate Management has been the source for education, resources, information and membership for real estate management professionals for more than 70 years.
IREM is an affiliate of the National Association of Realtors and is the only professional real estate management association serving both the multi-family and commercial real estate sectors. With 81 U.S. Chapters, 8 international chapters, and several other partnerships around the globe, IREM is an international organization that serves as an advocate on issues affecting the real estate management industry. With over 300 people in attendance, the magnificence of the Tavern on the Green was in full force. Frank Reali, 2007 President of the Staten Island Board of Realtors and Fran Reali, Broker Owners of Safari Realty were there along with Holly Hernandez, Erol’s wife. Also on hand were other members of the Staten Island Board of Realtors Executive Committee, Sandy Kreuger, CEO and Chris Stivanello, Secretary/Treasurer, were there to help celebrate Mr. Hernandez’s accomplishments. Mr. Hernandez was awarded the CPM Candidate of the Year, an impressive position to hold since IREM’s membership includes nearly 17,500 individual members and 525 corporate members. IREM promotes ethical real estate management practices through its credentialed membership programs including, Certified Property Manager, Accredited Residential Manager certification and the Accredited Commercial Manager. These esteemed designations certify competency and professionalism for those engaged in real estate management.
The American Safari Property Management Division was formed by a merger with Mr. Hernandez’s company of American Star and Safari Realty.
